issues with this text:

  • quranic orthography (primarily superscript alifs, i.e, مَالِك vs. مٰلِكِ )
  • paragraph right-side alignment
  • toc: do we want the 1/30th headings, or simply the suras
  • check for correctness

Also:

  • how much of the "extra" Qur'anic signs (superscript mim indicating the obligatory phonological change n > m before bilabials, etc.) do we put?
  • Reading: Hafs or Warsh? (Hafs is the best-known; the two differ on some details of tashkil)
well, which one is it at present? we have to take what we find on the web (or embark on typing it ourselves) 130.60.142.62 09:29, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Hafs, I believe. - 172.189.253.59 11:57, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Something wrong with the spacing[عدل]

Some verses have 2 words with no spaces between them

take, for example in Surat Mariam chapter 19 line 4 is written as

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ الْعَظْمُمِنِّي

I believe it should be

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ الْعَظْمُ مِنِّي

with a space between the words as shown Looking at the original Unicode source, I see this problem originated when copying and pasting from the web site and adding to the wiki, since apparently removing the line breaks concatenates the last word on the line and the next word on the following line creating a composite word

I recommend finding a source that's better suited to copying here
